Tell us about yourself.
My name is Lúdvík S. Georgsson and I am the director of the United Nations University Geothermal Training Programme (UNU-GTP), which is hosted at Orkustofnun, the National Energy Authority of Iceland.
What makes Geothermal so great?
Geothermal is a beautiful renewable energy source, supplying Iceland with close to 70% of its needs for primary energy. Through its variations in nature, it can combine beauty, wonders and great practical benefits.
What makes IGA so great?
The International Geothermal Association is an organization created to preach the geothermal gospel to ensure that the benefits of geothermal energy are brought to all those with resources to be developed or enjoyed.
