Geothermal Drilling: blending oil gas technology with geothermal know-how
With Sam Abraham

In this short course Sam Abraham will take you through his vast experience of drilling geothermal wells. Having worked in Kenya, Indonesia, New Zealand, Turkey, the US and in the Caribbean serving both the Oil Gas and Geothermal Industry, Sam comes with a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience. With the growing appetite of the Oil Gas Sector to learn more about the geothermal know-how and evaluate where to position the geothermal opportunities in their own assets, this course is a must attend for technical subsurface professionals in the hydrocarbon industry.

Understanding the opportunity for Geothermal mine waters
With Helen Robinson

In this short course Helen Robinson will present how mine water can be used on a large scale for heating and cooling homes and businesses for decades to come. Understanding and estimate the potential of the heat resource and storage in (abandoned) mines will be discussed and explained by demonstrating sites and case studies in Scotland and The Netherlands.

Geothermal Drilling: Short course on global experience
With Sam Abraham

In this one day workshop Sam Abraham will present several case studies of his vast experience of developing geothermal projects. Sam comes with a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience from his 30 years of service in the geothermal and oil gas sector. The workshop aims to showcase best practices and to share experiences that are particularly of interest for emerging markets such as in the LAC region.
