The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea (MOTIE) invites you to the Korea International Renewable Energy Conference (KIREC Seoul 2019), which will take place on 23–25 October 2019 at COEX in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The Korean government has formulated the 3rd Energy Basic Plan, the Renewable Energy 2030 Action Plan and the Hydrogen Economy Roadmap. In particular, Korea has established a goal to boost the share of renewable energy to 30~35% from its current 7% by 2040 and to increase the share of hydrogen in the final energy supply to 5% by 2040.
With its ambitious national drive for energy transition, MOTIE and SMG are hosting the 8th International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC). KIREC Seoul 2019 will provide a global platform for ministers, mayors, high-level decision makers, experts, specialists and thought leaders, as well as private sector players and civil society, to discuss and share their vision, experience and solutions to accelerate the global uptake of renewable energy.
The IGA will be there to demonstrate success stories on renewable heating and cooling, direct use of (deep) geothermal and geothermal to power. We thank our partner REN21 for their commitment to keep renewable energy as a priority of change.
